MOROCCO - An exotic, magic and comfortable country !!

 

Mototouring organizes tours in Africa since 1985 and Morocco has been one of the very first destination at that time, the country has not changed a lot, some very good hotels have been built in the meanwhile and we will use them, of course!!. The riding is spectacular like the landscapes and the local people, always very friendly and helpful in case of needs, it will be a memorable tour remaining in your mind for the rest of your life.

 

Itinerary

 

Day 1

Day of arrival in Malaga and meeting at the Parador de Golf, jet lag recoup afternoon. Welcome dinner at the hotel

Day 2  

Pick-up motorcycles ride west to 130 km to Alcegiras, ferry across Straights of Gibraltar to Tangiers, Morocco. Ride 280 km to Rabat on back roads and highways through very beautiful landscapes.  (420km/250mi)

 

Day 3

Ride south along the Atlantic Ocean coast stopping for a great fish & oysters lunch and continuing then to Marrakech and arriving by late afternoon, dinner in a typical restaurant. (450 km /280mi)

 

Day 4

Visit Marrakech; see tombs of ancient Moroccan Rais; explore the souk and Jema El Fnaa Square, overnight and dinner at hotel.

                          

Day 5

Fantastic ride up to Tichka Pass at 2260 mt over the serpentine Atlas Mountains then to Ouarzazate and El Kelaa de Mgouna through the Dades Valley, dinner in the hotel (300 km/190 mi)

 

Day 6

Explore the Dades valley and Todra Valley, after lunch ride southeast to Erfoud, heading into the Erb Chebbi desert to Merzouga, dinner and overnight in a nice, typical hotel by the dunes and dinner local food (mechui, the sheep local way cooking,) accompanied by local dancers. (300km/190mi)

 

Day 7

Morning relax by the dunes with a possible Camel tour on the dunes, ride then to Errachidia crossing again the Atlas Range arriving in the afternoon, dinner at the hotel ( 140 km/90 mi)

 

Day 8

Early morning departure and mountain riding to Fes, over the 2700 meter passes, Fes is one of the Imperial cities and a magical place just like Marrakech, overnight at the Palais Jamais Hotel, an old king residence in the Medina, afternoon tour and visit of the souk and the old medina. Dinner at the hotel. Try the ‘Turkish Bath’ and the massage at the hotel ! (350km/220mi)

 

Day 9

Last day of a long and beautiful ride north to Chefchaouen across the Rif Range on to Ceuta (also Sebta) a Spanish territory on the coast opposite the Rock of Gibraltar. Clear Customs in Morocco, and cross the Straights of Gibraltar back to Alcegiras then head back to Malaga, overnight at the Parador de Golf; farewell dinner at hotel.  (480km/300mi)

 

Day 10

Transfer to Malaga airport for flights back home
